Simultaneous interpreter at the Egypt Defence Expo EDEX inaugurated in Cairo – Egypt is my new experience, I am happy and proud to do it, it all started when Mr. “Laurent TROMMENSCHLAGER” the head of the agency GL events asked me to be the Simultaneous interpreter at the EDEX armaments show, I accepted, I went to Cairo airport to pick him up to go to the hotel, the following day, we went to the hall to prepare his client’s stand, my job was to translate from French to Arabic between him and the Egyptian company.
It was a good experience to see the preparation work before the show started; every company prepares its stand.
The next day, everything was good, and as it was a Sunday, we went to visit the Egyptian museum in Cairo that opens also the afternoon Sundays and Thursdays.
Monday morning December 3, while the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al Sissi and the French minister of the armies Florence Parly were inaugurating the first arms show organized in Cairo EDEX, and while they were cutting together the red ribbon of the opening of the hall, we, we visited the pyramids of Giza and the sphinx and then we went to attend the salon.
When I look at the number of workers, engineers, drivers, guides and interpreters, I find that this salon has made many people work.
I’m waiting for the next show to be a simultaneous interpreter in English too.
